Our Role / Scope
Doig+Smith provided full Quantity Surveying/Cost Management Services from cost estimates, procurement strategy advice, value engineering, preparation of tender documents, tendering, post contract monthly valuation certification, cost reporting and negotiating the final account.
The project required to be delivered around a live school environment and to have works completed for the new teaching year. Our approach to bringing the Contractor onboard early to meet programme benefited the Client, while we ensured as much cost certainty as possible by tendering the majority of the work packages as part of a competitive Stage tender process.
Throughout the project the scope doubled in size and Doig+Smith replicated the Quantity Surveying services already provided.
This project required a hands on approach for a Client who is not experienced in delivering construction contract.
