Project Description
Following an initial feasibility study, options appraisal and stakeholder engagement process the first phase of Trinity Academy and Bangholm Park redevelopment was granted for Phase 1 on the Bangholm Park site. A further phase will be considered to redevelop the existing Trinity Academy site which is a 5-minute walk away. The Projects are included in the City of Edinburgh Councils Schools Wave 4 funding programme.
Both sites have restricted access and are in close proximity to neighbouring residential properties
Phase 1 comprises the demolition of four existing buildings; a new build multi-purpose facility shall be provided for school and community sports together with PE teaching accommodation; a new 2G sand dressed hockey pitch and provision of a new grass rugby pitch and is being progressed as a Design and Build Contract.
